Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to purchase fuel worth UAH 7.7 billion for the army in 2025

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to carry out strategic procurement to ensure uninterrupted supply of important resources for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the procurement agency of the department "State Operator of the Rear" (DOT) has already planned the purchase of fuel and lubricants for the second quarter of 2025. The estimated cost of these purchases is almost UAH 7.7 billion.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to the Director of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense, Hlib Kanevsky, the main goal of this step is not only to provide the army with the necessary resources, but also to create an effective and predictable supply system.

The planned purchases include various types of fuel and liquids, including transmission oils, engine oils, hydraulic oils, special fluids, lubricants, diesel fuel, gasoline of various brands, as well as Jet aviation fuel. These materials are critically important for the normal functioning of military equipment and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The updated procurement plan takes into account the current needs of the defense sector and is aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted supply of these resources to military units in different regions of Ukraine. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense emphasizes the importance of transparency and efficiency of procurement. All tenders for the purchase of fuel and lubricants will be announced on the Prozorro platform, which ensures compliance with all norms of current legislation of Ukraine.

Deputy Director of the Fuel and Lubricants Program of the DOT Marina Yeremeyeva emphasized that the main priorities of procurement are not only ensuring high quality of supply, but also maintaining full transparency at all stages of tendering. This will avoid corruption risks and ensure the most efficient use of budget funds.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense continues to take important steps to provide the army with everything necessary for the effective performance of combat missions, in particular through planned purchases of critically important materials for the near future.
