Updated procedure for technical inspection of buses: European integration changes and transparency

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has made significant changes to the procedures for technical inspection of buses operated in various types of passenger transportation, in particular in intercity, suburban and interregional connections. This became possible thanks to new European integration standards aimed at increasing the efficiency and transparency of the process.

One of the key initiatives is video recording of the process of inspecting the design and technical condition of buses. This innovative solution will simplify control and ensure an objective assessment of vehicles. In addition, the number of photographs required for transfer to the inspection register has been reduced, which will help reduce the time for documentation.

Optimization of time for technical inspections is also an important aspect of the new rules. This will reduce the time and resources required for control, which is extremely important for passenger transport operators.

One of the key innovations is the mandatory supervision of the condition and adaptation of tachographs installed on buses. This measure will contribute to maintaining high safety standards and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

The introduction of a system for determining the comfort of buses based on technical control will open up new opportunities for transportation organizers. Now the Ministry of Development and regional administrations will have access to up-to-date information not only about the technical condition of vehicles, but also about their level of comfort, which will contribute to improving the quality of passenger services.

The new rules will come into force two months after the publication of amendments to the relevant resolutions. These initiatives are aimed at improving the quality of transportation and ensuring high safety standards for all passengers.
