SkyUp Airlines, one of the leading airlines in Ukraine, has announced the launch of regular direct flights from Chisinau to several countries in Southern Europe, strengthening its presence in the international air transportation market.
According to information provided by Delo.ua, from May 19, 2025, passengers can use new routes to Athens in Greece and Alicante in Spain, which were opened based on the demand for comfortable non-stop flights. What is special is the fact that the route to Alicante became the first for Chisinau airport, which expands the possibilities of passengers for traveling to Western European countries.
The next step in the airline’s plans is the opening of flights to Nice in France from May 21, which emphasizes the strategic importance of Chisinau as an important hub in the air transport of Eastern Europe.
The opening of new routes will significantly contribute to the development of Moldova's tourism potential and provide convenient air connections for travelers, regardless of the purpose of their trips - whether it is a family vacation, meeting friends or business trips.
SkyUp states that the new routes meet the demand for quality air services at affordable prices, which makes them ideal for passengers who value comfort and reliability in flights.
Thanks to its strategic location and well-developed transport infrastructure, Chisinau Airport is becoming a hub that provides convenient connections for residents of Moldova and neighboring countries, including Ukraine. An extensive network of bus and rail routes greatly simplifies access to the airport from different regions, which makes passenger travel even more convenient and efficient.
This opening marks a new stage in the development of the Moldovan aviation industry and confirms SkyUp's intention to continue expanding its route network, responding to the growing demand for quality air transportation in the region.
