From July 1, 2025, the state postal operator "Ukrposhta" is introducing new rules for individuals who use cash on delivery services. These are restrictions on cash transactions in the company's branches, which are aimed at reducing risks and bringing procedures into line with legal requirements.
This was reported by the company's press service, noting that the update was the result of a risk analysis. "Ukrposhta" emphasized that the changes will not be noticeable for the vast majority of customers, and those affected by them will have enough time to adapt.
The new limits provide for restrictions on cash on delivery transactions carried out in cash at branches. In particular, individuals will be able to conduct no more than 10 payment transactions per month, and their total amount should not exceed 100,000 hryvnias.
Instead, for customers who receive postpaid payments on bank cards, the old, more flexible restrictions will apply. In particular, up to 50 payment transactions per day are allowed for an amount of up to 29,999 hryvnias, and the monthly limit will be 250,000 hryvnias with a maximum of 500 transactions.
The company notes that the established limits are quite sufficient for an ordinary consumer who is not engaged in commercial activities. In cases where an individual actually conducts entrepreneurial activities (for example, systematically sells goods with postpaid payments), Ukrposhta advises to officially register the status of an individual entrepreneur or choose another legal work model.
Such changes are aimed not only at controlling financial flows, but also at stimulating transparency in the online trading segment, which actively uses postal services for settlements with customers.
