In May of this year, the hybrid car market in Ukraine has seen significant development. According to Ukravtoprom, over 3,000 new hybrid passenger cars were registered during this period, which is 43% more than last year. This indicates the growing interest of Ukrainian consumers in environmentally friendly and energy-efficient vehicles.
According to statistics, 60% of all new hybrid cars sold in May are models that were first registered in Ukraine. This indicates an active renewal of the country's fleet in the direction of using more environmentally friendly transport solutions.
Among the sales leaders in the Ukrainian hybrid car market, the Toyota RAV4 stands out, which ranks first with sales of 439 units. In second place is the Nissan Qashqai with a result of 91 cars, and the Audi Q8 ranks third with sales of 79 units.
Among imported hybrid cars with mileage, the most popular are the Toyota Prius with consumers purchasing 101 cars, the KIA Niro with a result of 65 units and the Ford Fusion US, sold in the amount of 59 cars.
Ukraine continues to develop the infrastructure to support hybrid and electric cars, which contributes to increasing their popularity among local car owners. In particular, state incentives and programs to support green transport are actively contributing to the spread of this segment on the Ukrainian car market.
In general, the growth in sales of hybrid cars indicates a trend towards sustainable development of the transport sector in Ukraine and increased awareness of environmental challenges among the population.
