The State Food and Consumer Protection Service of Ukraine has taken another step towards digitalization and simplification of procedures for exporting animal products to the European Union. Six new forms of health certificates have been integrated into the TRACES NT system, an electronic platform for exchanging veterinary certificates, without which products cannot enter the EU market.

According to the press service of the agency, the new certificates will speed up the processing of documents and make the control process more transparent. This, in turn, will strengthen the trust of European partners in the quality of Ukrainian products and help increase competitiveness in international markets.

The new certificate forms include documents for various types of products, including: hunting trophies and other animal products (bones, skins, horns), beekeeping by-products, collagen for human consumption (MODEL COL), treated hides and skins of ungulates, seedlings and seeds for their production (MODEL SPR), as well as food and feed from third countries subject to control in accordance with EU Regulation 2020/1158.

Head of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection of Ukraine Serhiy Tkachuk emphasized that the integration of new forms is taking place sequentially: "32 certificate forms for various types of animal products have already been integrated into the TRACES NT system. We continue to adapt Ukrainian procedures to international standards in order to ensure transparent and safe movement of products and strengthen partnership with the EU."

Thus, the integration of new certificates is part of the systematic work of the Ukrainian authorities to harmonize procedures with EU requirements, which will contribute to expanding access of Ukrainian products to European markets and increasing the efficiency of state control.
