In November 2025, the Ukrainian passenger car market was replenished with approximately 8.3 thousand new cars. As reported by Ukravtoprom, the majority of buyers — 71% — were private clients, while legal entities purchased 29% of the total sales.
Compared to November 2024, sales of new passenger cars among private buyers increased by 84%, and the corporate segment showed growth of 17%. Such dynamics indicate a stable recovery in demand for cars in Ukraine after several years of instability.
Leaders among private buyers
Analysts note that Ukrainians, when buying new passenger cars, prefer both electric cars and popular crossovers. Top 5 models in the private segment for November:
BYD Leopard 3 — 363 units;
Volkswagen ID.UNYX — 288 units;
BYD Song Plus — 280 units;
Toyota RAV-4 — 252 units;
BYD Sea Lion 06 — 219 units.
It is worth noting that the list of leaders is dominated by electric cars of the Chinese brand BYD, which indicates the growing interest of Ukrainians in "green" technologies and fuel economy.
The most popular cars among companies
Legal entities are also active in the passenger car market, but their preferences differ from private buyers. According to Ukravtoprom, the following cars received the greatest demand in the corporate segment:
Renault Duster — 399 units;
Fiat Titano — 151 units;
Skoda Octavia — 96 units;
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado — 88 units;
Skoda Kodiaq — 77 units.
Corporate clients traditionally focus on reliable and practical models, often with increased cross-country ability and space for transporting goods or passengers.
In general, Ukravtoprom data demonstrate a clear division of preferences between the private and corporate market segments. Private buyers choose primarily modern and economical models, while companies choose functional cars for business needs.
This distribution of demand allows car dealerships to more accurately plan their assortment and marketing strategies, and manufacturers to forecast the volume of supplies to the Ukrainian market.
