Ukraine is actively increasing its own production of motors for unmanned aerial vehicles, taking an important step towards technological independence in the defense sector. Domestic companies are already demonstrating results that a few years ago seemed unattainable for Ukrainian industry.
According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Motor-G, a member of the Brave1 defense cluster, has reached production volumes of over 100 thousand motors per month. This indicator allowed the company to become one of the largest manufacturers of drone motors in the world.
Just two years ago, the launch of mass production of motors for drones in Ukraine was considered unrealistic. Currently, more and more Ukrainian drones that successfully hit enemy targets are equipped with domestically produced motors, which confirms the rapid development of the industry.
The key advantage of Ukrainian motors is their specialized adaptation to real combat conditions. Such engines provide drones with high speed, endurance and reliability, which is critically important when performing complex tasks in a combat zone.
The high technological level of developments is confirmed by a recent result: an interceptor drone equipped with a Motor-G engine reached a speed of 400 km/h. This indicator indicates the competitiveness of Ukrainian technologies in the global market of unmanned systems.
In parallel, the Brave1 cluster announced a special grant program for manufacturers of drone components. Ukrainian developers can receive up to 8 million UAH to accelerate research and development work and increase the level of technological readiness of their products.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs emphasizes that the development of domestic production of engines and key components for drones is of critical importance for the defense capability of the state. This allows us to reduce dependence on imports, promptly improve technologies and quickly adapt them to the current needs of the front.
