The Ukrainian market for new commercial vehicles at the end of the year showed a noticeable revival. In December, 1,439 new trucks and specialized vehicles were sold, which indicates a sharp increase in demand in the segment. Such indicators significantly exceed the results of previous periods.
Compared to November, sales volumes increased by 46%, and in annual terms by 6% compared to December 2024. This indicates a gradual recovery of business activity and business needs in updating fleets, in particular in logistics, construction and the field of specialized transportation.
According to the Ukravtoprom association, in general, according to the results of last year, the Ukrainian fleet of trucks and special vehicles was replenished with almost 12.3 thousand new cars. At the same time, in annual comparison, this indicator turned out to be 5% lower than in 2024, which indicates heterogeneous dynamics during the year.
Market analytics shows that the leader among the brands of new commercial vehicles in 2025 was the Renault brand. Despite this, the company's sales decreased by 49% and amounted to 1,662 units. Citroen took second place with a result of 1,335 cars, demonstrating an increase of 11%.
MAN took third place in the ranking, which sold 1,083 cars, which is 9% more than a year earlier. Peugeot and Fiat also recorded a significant strengthening of their positions: Peugeot sales increased by 70% - to 1,043 units, and Fiat increased sales by 73%, to 808 cars.
In the second half of the ranking were Mercedes-Benz with 749 cars sold (+20%) and Ford, which, on the contrary, reduced sales by 19% - to 687 units. Toyota demonstrated impressive dynamics, increasing sales by more than twofold - by 111%, to 677 cars.
Iveco and Opel close the top ten. Iveco sold 616 new commercial vehicles, which is 13% more than in the previous year, while Opel showed an increase of 56%, reaching a result of 590 units sold. In general, statistics confirm that the demand for new trucks in Ukraine retains the potential for further recovery, despite difficult market conditions.
