As of January 13, passenger train traffic in Ukraine is carried out with significant deviations from the established schedule. On average, the delay is about one hour, which is associated with a number of objective factors, in particular weather conditions and route adjustments.
Ukrzaliznytsia reported on the current situation on the railway network. The company noted that dispatch services are working in an intensified mode, and changes in the schedule occur throughout the day depending on the situation on the tracks.
In addition to the general average, delays of individual trains were recorded in terms of departure turnover. Thus, train No. 178 on the Ivano-Frankivsk - Kyiv route will depart with a delay of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Train No. 771 Kyiv - Khmelnytskyi will be delayed by approximately 3 hours.
A delay from the schedule was also reported for train No. 6 Yasinya - Zaporizhzhia, for which the expected delay is about one hour. Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes that the indicated time limits are not final and may change during the day.
Railway workers explain that the duration of delays is affected by difficult weather conditions, as well as forced changes to traffic routes. In this regard, passengers are advised to closely monitor updates and be prepared to adjust travel times.
The company emphasized that another busy working day began on January 13. Among the priority tasks are the organization of comfortable waiting conditions for passengers at the Kholm transfer station, as well as improving information at stations and stations where online scoreboards are temporarily not working.
