The Pension Fund of Ukraine has determined the average salary taken into account for calculating pensions for 2025. According to the agency, this figure was 20,653 hryvnias.

This was reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. It is noted that the average salary is taken into account, from which insurance contributions were paid in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”. This figure is the basis for calculating pension payments for Ukrainians.

“On January 26, 2026, the average salary (income) in Ukraine, from which insurance contributions were paid and which is used to calculate pensions, was approved,” the PFU reported.

The Pension Fund also recalled that the figure for December 2025 was 24,293 hryvnias. Thus, the average annual figure was lower than the monthly salary in December, reflecting seasonal fluctuations in earnings.

The average salary taken into account for pension accruals plays a key role in determining the size of future pensions for working citizens. The basic amount of pension payments and the calculation of insurance experience depend on it.

The PFU emphasizes that the publication of this indicator is important for the transparent and predictable formation of the pension system and ensuring the stability of pension payments for Ukrainian citizens.
