The popularity of hybrid passenger cars has increased significantly in Ukraine: last month, the country's fleet was replenished with 2,336 such cars, which is 40% more than in the same period last year. This was reported by Ukravtoprom, noting the positive dynamics of demand for environmentally friendly and economical vehicles.
Among these hybrids, 52% were new cars. For comparison, in January 2025, the share of new cars among hybrids was higher and reached 63%, which indicates an increase in interest in used hybrids on the Ukrainian market.
In the segment of new passenger cars, the TOYOTA RAV-4 crossover became the most popular, with 322 units registered. NISSAN Qashqai came in second place with 79 cars, and NISSAN X-Trail took third place with 63 cars. This confirms the stable demand for compact and mid-size crossovers among Ukrainian buyers.
Among imported used hybrids, the leader was the FORD Escape, which was chosen by 69 Ukrainian drivers. The second place was taken by the TOYOTA Prius with 61 registrations, and the third position was occupied by the KIA Niro — 60 cars. Such statistics demonstrate high interest in proven models with economical power plants.
Experts note that the growth in demand for hybrids is due not only to fuel economy, but also to the increase in environmental standards and the active development of the electrified car market in Ukraine. More and more consumers are choosing cars with low emissions and hybrid technologies, combining practicality and modernity.
Thus, the Ukrainian hybrid market demonstrates stable growth among both new and used cars, and the sales leaders in the segment remain well-known brands that ensure the reliability and economy of their models.
