In March 2026, the Ukrainian market for new passenger cars demonstrated active growth. In general, the country's car fleet was replenished with approximately 5.9 thousand new cars, which indicates a gradual recovery in demand among both the population and business.
According to Ukravtoprom, the bulk of sales were formed by private clients - they accounted for 64% of all cars sold. At the same time, the corporate sector provided 36% of purchases, which is also a significant contribution to the overall market structure.
Compared to March 2025, both segments demonstrated confident growth. Sales of new cars among private buyers increased by 12%, while the corporate segment showed an even more dynamic result - the increase was 26%. This may indicate an intensification of business and renewal of company fleets.
Among private buyers, crossovers and universal models were the most popular. The leader was the Toyota RAV4 with 374 cars sold. The second place was taken by the Hyundai Tucson — 195 units. The third position was taken by the Renault Duster with 125 cars.
The top five also included the Volkswagen Touareg, which was chosen by 116 buyers, and the Mazda CX-5 with 114 cars sold. This choice indicates a stable demand for the SUV segment among the population.
In the corporate sector, preferences were somewhat different. The greatest demand was received by the Renault Duster — 282 units, which makes it the undisputed leader among legal entities. The second place was taken by the Volkswagen Touareg with 88 cars sold.
Businesses also actively bought the Renault Taliant (81 cars), Škoda Octavia (80 cars) and Toyota RAV4 (79 cars). This demand structure indicates that companies are focusing on both practical crossovers and economical sedans for everyday needs.
Overall, March demonstrated positive dynamics in the Ukrainian automotive market, where interest from both the population and business is growing simultaneously. This may be a signal of a gradual recovery in economic activity and growing confidence in large purchases, even in conditions of uncertainty.
