In March 2026, the Ukrainian bus market showed significant growth. In total, the country's fleet was replenished with 247 buses and minibuses, which is 21% more than in the same period last year. Such dynamics indicate a gradual recovery of demand in the passenger transport segment.
This was reported by Ukravtoprom. According to the organization, the market structure has changed significantly: the share of new vehicles reached 52%, while last year this figure was only 34%.
Among new buses, the most popular in March was the ISUZU brand equipment - 29 units were registered. Second place was taken by FORD with a result of 23 buses, and third position was taken by CITROEN - 15 units.
In the used bus segment, the situation looks somewhat different. The leader here was MERCEDES-BENZ with an indicator of 57 registered vehicles. This is followed by VOLKSWAGEN — 10 units and VAN HOOL — 9 units.
In total, since the beginning of 2026, the Ukrainian bus fleet has been replenished with 647 transport units, which is 6% more than in the same period in 2025. Such dynamics indicate stable growth of the segment even despite economic challenges.
At the same time, new buses demonstrate more active growth: 319 units were registered, which is 10% more in annual terms. At the same time, the used equipment segment grew more modestly — to 328 units, which is an increase of 2.5%.
The overall market picture indicates a gradual modernization of the fleet. The growth in the share of new buses may be associated both with the need to update transport and with adaptation to modern safety requirements and environmental standards.
