In April 2026, the largest regional markets for new electric cars in Ukraine were Kyiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Rivne regions. These regions accounted for the largest number of registrations of electric cars, which indicates a stable growth in the popularity of electric cars among Ukrainians.
This was reported by Ukravtoprom. According to the association, during April, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 3,007 BEV electric cars. A significant part of the registered cars were used cars imported from abroad.
The largest number of electric car registrations was recorded in Lviv region. During the month, 416 electric cars were registered there, and 92% of them were used. Lviv region traditionally remains one of the key centers for importing electric cars to Ukraine.
The second place in terms of registrations was taken by the city of Kyiv, where 318 electric cars were registered in April. The share of used cars in the capital was 55%. In the Kyiv region, the figure was 225 electric cars, of which 72% were used cars.
The top five markets also included Dnipropetrovsk and Rivne regions. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, 213 electric cars were registered during April, and the share of used cars reached 76%. In the Rivne region, 203 electric cars were registered, of which 86% were imported used cars.
Among new electric cars, Chinese-made models were the most popular in some regions. In Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, the leader was BYD Leopard 3. At the same time, in Lviv and Kyiv regions, BYD Sea Lion 06 was most often registered. In the Rivne region, BYD E2 won first place among new electric cars.
In the segment of used electric cars imported from abroad, Tesla models remain the most popular. In particular, in Lviv, Kyiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, the Tesla Model Y was in the greatest demand. In the capital, the Tesla Model 3 became the leader among imported used cars, while in Rivne region, the Nissan Leaf was most often chosen.
