China's Lenovo Group, the world's largest PC maker, reported a 27% rise in quarterly revenue, beating analysts' expectations. The sharp rise in financial figures was driven by strong consumer demand for PCs and the company's growing global market share.
Reuters reported. After the report, Lenovo shares rose 15% in Hong Kong, the biggest daily gain among companies on the Hang Seng index.
The company's fourth-quarter revenue, which ended in March, was $21.6 billion, beating analysts' expectations of $18.7 billion. Net income attributable to shareholders rose 479% to $521 million, one of the company’s most impressive financial results in recent years.
Lenovo’s core business, which includes PCs, tablets and smartphones, saw revenue grow 24%, its best performance in five years. According to Counterpoint Research, global PC shipments grew 3.2% to 63.3 million units in the first quarter of 2026. Lenovo’s shipments, however, rose 9% to 16.5 million units, giving the company a 26% share of the global PC market.
One of the key factors in its success has been its diversification of component supply. The IT market is currently facing a shortage of memory chips, the prices of which have doubled in the quarter due to increased demand from data centers for artificial intelligence. Lenovo was able to reduce risks thanks to a wide base of suppliers, in particular, by attracting Chinese ChangXin Memory Technologies.
The second important driver of growth was the direction of artificial intelligence. The company is actively developing infrastructure solutions for AI, and the portfolio of orders for servers for artificial intelligence has already reached $ 21 billion. The infrastructure solutions division showed the fastest growth in the company — 37%, which significantly strengthened the overall financial results.
Against the background of the increase in the cost of components, Lenovo was forced to partially increase the prices of its products. Despite this, demand remained high: consumers actively purchased equipment, trying to get ahead of the further increase in the price of electronics.
Thus, the combination of strong demand for personal computers, effective supply logistics and the rapid development of the direction of artificial intelligence allowed Lenovo to significantly strengthen its positions in the global market.
