The Government of Ukraine has decided to allocate funds from the state budget for the purchase of transport for schools in all regions, where it is necessary. The size of the state subsidy for the purchase of school buses is 1 billion hryvnias.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine.
It is noted that the commission of the Ministry of Education will distribute the subvention in proportion to the number of students who need transportation and who are not delivered by school buses, based on data provided by regional state (military) administrations and state statistical reporting.
Regions located in the war zone and border regions, such as Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kherson and Chernihiv, will have an advantage in receiving state funding. In these regions, access to education is most difficult due to the constant threat of shelling. Buses will transport children to schools with shelters.
The amount of the allocated state subsidy for the purchase of school buses is 1 billion hryvnias.
