In July 2024, the Ukrainian fleet was significantly replenished with electric vehicles. According to Ukravtoprom, 4,787 new battery-powered vehicles (BEVs) hit Ukrainian roads, which is 38% more compared to the same period last year.

A significant part of the registered electric cars were passenger cars — 4,684 units. Of them, 980 cars were new, and 3,704 were used. Thus, new cars accounted for 21% of the total number of registrations, which is more than last year's 17%. Also, 103 commercial electric vehicles were registered in July, of which only 6 units were new.

Among the new electric cars, the most popular in July were:

1. HONDA M-NV – 239 units,
2. BYD Song Plus – 127 units,
3. NISSAN Ariya – 118 units,
4. VOLKSWAGEN iD.4 – 88 units,
5. ZEEKR 001 – 69 units.

As for used electric cars registered for the first time in Ukraine, the following registered the most:

1. NISSAN Leaf – 529 units,
2. TESLA Model 3 – 433 units,
3. TESLA Model Y – 419 units,
4. TESLA Model S – 217 units,
5. VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf – 209 units.

In general, since the beginning of 2024, more than 29.2 thousand motor vehicles with battery power sources were registered for the first time in Ukraine. Of this number, 20% were new cars, while 80% were used.

The growth in demand for electric cars shows the increasing interest of Ukrainians in environmentally friendly transport, which is confirmed both by the number of new registrations and the stable popularity of used models.
