As of September 20 of this year, Ukraine harvested an impressive 44.5 million tons of the new grain crop on a total area of 12.5 million hectares. These data were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
According to official reports, the largest amount of grain was harvested from the seeds of agricultural enterprises in the Odesa region - an impressive 4.1 million tons, while 2.4 and 2.3 million tons were collected in Poltava Oblast and Vinnytsia Oblast, respectively.
In the 2024 season, the most cereals were grown in the fields of Odesa region, where 22.3 million tons of wheat were threshed on an area of 4.9 million hectares, as well as 5.5 million tons of barley on an area of 1.41 million hectares. Peas were threshed on 212.2 thousand hectares and 465.3 thousand tons of seeds.
