As part of preparation for the 2024/2025 heating season, the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate of Ukraine conducted an assessment of the readiness of more than a thousand energy facilities. These measures were initiated in response to the appeal of business entities, which emphasizes the importance of ensuring the reliability and efficiency of energy systems.

Specialists of the State Energy Inspectorate focused on several key aspects, including sources of thermal energy, as well as their thermal networks. Special attention was paid to heat consumption systems that serve socially important institutions, such as medical institutions, educational institutions and preschools that use centralized heat supply.

According to the results of the inspections, 1,508 comments were found regarding non-compliance with current norms and rules in the field of heat supply. This indicates the need for urgent measures to eliminate the identified problems. The managers of the relevant economic entities were given recommendations with a list of urgent actions, the implementation of which is under the control of the State Energy Inspection.

Heat generation, heat transport and heat supply organizations have already conducted hydraulic tests on 4.3 thousand kilometers of heat networks. Among the socially important consumers of thermal energy, hydropneumatic flushing of heating systems was carried out at about 3.5 thousand objects. These actions are aimed at ensuring uninterrupted operation of heating systems in the winter period.

The State Energy Inspectorate also emphasizes that, in coordination with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, a large-scale repair campaign is underway at energy facilities that were damaged as a result of enemy attacks. Heat supply organizations, together with local authorities, are actively working on preparing heating facilities for winter.

Summarizing, it can be noted that preparation for the heating season is an important process that requires coordinated actions of all energy market participants to ensure a stable passage of the cold period and comfortable conditions for the population.
