Ukrzaliznytsia continues to improve international rail connections by expanding the number of flights and introducing new routes. Travel to the capitals of neighboring countries will soon become even more affordable. In particular, additional trains have been scheduled to Warsaw and a direct daily route Kyiv-Budapest has been launched, which will start on December 15.
The Warsaw-Rawa-Ruska-Lviv route will now be served by even more trains of the Polish railway PKP Intercity, as well as a Ukrainian-made diesel train DPKr-3. In particular, the new flight No. 865/866 Chernivtsi-Rawa-Ruska will provide a convenient connection between Warsaw and the western regions of Ukraine. This will expand the geography of transportation not only for Lviv, but also for Ternopil, Chortkiv, Zalishchyky and Chernivtsi.
The popular route Warsaw – Rava-Ruska – Lviv – Kolomyia will also remain. Trains No. 767/768 – 867/868, which have long established themselves as a comfortable way of traveling for residents of the region, will continue to operate here.
The launch of the new Kyiv – Budapest route was a significant step in the development of international communication. Train No. 9/10 will be the 20th international flight of Ukrzaliznytsia. It will run daily in sleeping cars of two classes: coupe (4 seats) and deluxe (2 seats). Departure from Kyiv is scheduled for 10:16, arrival in Budapest – at 06:00 the next day. In the return direction, the train will depart at 22:40, and will arrive in Kyiv at 19:11.
The schedule, which is synchronized with flights from the Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest – the largest transport hub in the region, deserves special attention. For the convenience of passengers, transfers to trains to Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Zurich, as well as to Romania, Slovenia and other European countries are also provided. The waiting time between transfers will not exceed two hours.
Tickets for the new flights can be purchased through the Ukrzaliznytsia application, on the official website, in chat bots and at the ticket offices of the stations. The approximate cost of a trip in a compartment car on the Kyiv-Budapest route will be 3,000 hryvnias. Ukrzaliznytsia is confident that these innovations will significantly increase comfort and convenience for passengers, as well as strengthen transport links between Ukraine and Europe.
