Meta, the company behind platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, has announced plans to build the world’s longest undersea cable. The cable will connect the United States, India, South Africa, Brazil, and other regions, improving global digital infrastructure.

The project, dubbed Waterworth, will be a 50,000km undersea cable that will stretch more than the circumference of the Earth. The cable will be the longest undersea cable in existence and will play a key role in the development of digital networks.
