From February 24 to 28, 2025, 18 online auctions for the sublease of state agricultural lands were held in the Prozorro system. Sales. According to the Land Bank of Ukraine, the total area of land put up for auction was 2,890 hectares. The lots were located in various regions of Ukraine, in particular in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytskyi regions.
The total result of these auctions was 45 million hryvnias. Taking into account VAT, the potential economic effect of the auctions can reach 54 million hryvnias. This indicates a high demand for state lands, as well as a high level of interest from farmers in this type of auction.
Bidders submitted 79 offers for various land plots. The average cost of sublease per hectare was UAH 15,582, which was 4.5 times higher than in previous auctions. This indicates a significant increase in prices for agricultural land plots.
The largest lot this week was presented in the Mykolaiv region - a land plot with an area of 1,186.2 hectares. 5 participants competed for this lot, and the starting bid was increased to UAH 16 million. Thus, the price per hectare of this plot reached UAH 13,500. This also indicates great interest and competitiveness in the land lease market.
These results confirm the effectiveness of transparent online auctions and demonstrate the growing interest of farmers in using state-owned lands. As noted by the Land Bank of Ukraine, such auctions contribute to the development of the agricultural sector and provide a significant contribution to the state budget, which can be directed to further improving infrastructure and developing rural areas.
In general, the results of the February auctions are another confirmation of the effectiveness of the land policy reform in Ukraine, which contributes to attracting additional financial resources for the development of the state economy and supporting the country's agro-industrial complex.
