In March 2025, Ukrainians set a new record for the volume of state cashback - more than 443 million hryvnias were returned to consumers for the purchase of goods of Ukrainian production. This was reported by the press service of the "Diya" platform, which coordinates the implementation of the National Cashback program.
The program was launched in September 2024 with the aim of supporting domestic manufacturers and stimulating economic activity within the country. It provides for a return of 10% of the cost of each purchase of goods made in Ukraine. And today its results are impressive: in just one month of March, more than 3.4 million Ukrainians received financial support from the state.
The total amount of funds returned since the launch of the initiative is already approaching 2 billion hryvnias. Such large-scale participation of the population indicates not only high interest in the program, but also growing trust in state digital services. The program has become one of the government's most successful tools for activating domestic consumption.
The received cashback can be spent in a targeted manner: on payment of utilities, purchase of books, medicines or making charitable contributions - in particular, for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the funds are not only returned to the economy, but also directed to socially significant areas.
A feature of the program is the long validity period of the accrued bonuses - cashback can be used until the end of 2025. This gives citizens more flexibility in planning their own expenses and creates additional incentives to support Ukrainian production in the long term.
National cashback demonstrates how a state initiative based on digital tools can work effectively even in wartime. The program not only improves the well-being of citizens, but also forms a culture of conscious consumption, focused on supporting one's own.
