The NACP has reinstated the status of five Greek shipping companies on the list of "international sponsors of war" as they failed to fulfill the conditions agreed upon during negotiations to remove them from the list. According to the press service of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Dynacom Tankers Management (DTM), Delta Tankers LTD, Thenamaris Ships Management Inc., Minerva Marine and TMC Tankers LTD were added to the list.

It is noted that these Greek companies were engaged in the transportation of Russian oil and oil products, which contributed to the replenishment of the Russian budget and financing of the Russian invasion. Last spring, Greek shipowners transported a significant amount of Russian oil - according to NAPC estimates, about 19 million tons of oil totaling $16 billion.

In addition, the NACP emphasized that the Ukrainian and Greek sides had begun negotiations, offering the companies to meet the conditions for being removed from the list of "international sponsors of war." Among these conditions were the cessation of transponder switching off and cargo transshipment from one ship to another, as well as public condemnation of Russian aggression.

It is noted that the issue of turning off transponders and transshipment from one ship to another was resolved in the 11th package of EU sanctions. However, these five Greek shipping companies did not comply with the requirement to publicly condemn Russian aggression within a certain period of time, which led to their return to the list of "international sponsors of war".

Thus, the restoration of the status of five Greek shipping companies on the list of "International Sponsors of War" emphasizes the importance of complying with international sanctions and controlling cooperation with companies that transport raw materials that may contribute to hostile activities.
