President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is resolving the grain conflict with neighboring EU member states in a constructive manner. He shared this information in his evening video address, where he also provided an update on further measures and results achieved in the case of grain exports.
The President said that on Monday he held a meeting with government officials and representatives of his office to coordinate further actions. Some important results were achieved during this meeting.
One of the important steps is the support of the European Commission for a roadmap for mutual monitoring of grain exports. According to the President, this step is completely rational and will help resolve the situation.
Another important point is the gradual removal of emotions from the topic under discussion. The President emphasized that cooperation with neighboring countries should be constructive, and Ukraine is taking all measures to achieve this goal.
At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to Bulgaria and Romania for not imposing an embargo on Ukrainian grain after the completion of a similar measure with five EU countries, which was introduced by the European Commission.
"We are grateful to our partners who have complied with the EU trade rules and the Association Agreement. And we expect similar constructive cooperation from other neighboring countries. The European Union is a space for mutual understanding and cooperation, and we hope that this spirit will be preserved," the Head of State emphasized.
