In March 2025, 996 new commercial vehicles were sold in Ukraine, which is 18% more than in February this year. This was reported by the Ukravtoprom association. Despite the positive dynamics in sales, registrations of new trucks for the same month last year decreased by 6%.
Compared to February, March was a successful month for the Ukrainian commercial vehicle market, in particular for trucks. However, if compared to March 2024, the market showed a negative trend, which indicates certain difficulties faced by road carriers and business in general.
Among the most popular brands of commercial vehicles in March, the leadership was taken by trucks from the Man company, which were sold in the amount of 170 units. The Renault brand was in second place with 134 cars sold. Iveco took third place with 88 vehicles, followed by Ford with 83 units and Peugeot, which sold 68 trucks.
In total, in the first three months of the year, the Ukrainian fleet was replenished with 2,813 new trucks and specialized vehicles. This indicates a recovery in demand for commercial vehicles, although the growth rate has slowed down slightly compared to last year. It is noted that since the beginning of 2025, the number of new commercial vehicle registrations has been 2% lower than in the same period in 2024.
Despite the decline compared to last year, current indicators may indicate a steady recovery of the market, which has a positive impact on the development of the country's economy, especially in the logistics sector. It is predicted that the growth in demand for new trucks may continue in the coming months, as businesses and transport companies look for effective solutions for transporting goods in the post-war recovery.
