Kyiv schoolchildren have received information about the school year schedule for the 2023-2024 academic year, which will begin on September 1. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

According to it, the school year will last until May 31, and compensatory classes and certification of students will end on June 28, 2024.

The first semester will start on September 1 and last until December 22, 2023, and the second semester will last from January 8 to May 31, 2024. Vacations for Kyiv schoolchildren are scheduled for autumn from October 23 to October 29, winter from December 23, 2023 to January 7, 2024, and spring from March 25 to March 31.

First-graders will have an additional one-week vacation, which will be celebrated from February 19 to 25.

According to the city authorities, each educational institution will have the opportunity to choose a learning format (in-person, remote or mixed) at meetings of pedagogical councils. This will take into account the technical capabilities of the premises and the wishes of the students' parents.

Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Valentyn Mondriyevsky, called for giving preference to full-time education, in particular, whenever possible.

For students abroad, the Ukrainian education system has introduced a new learning format to provide them with access to quality education.
