Ukraine and Moldova have decided to intensify joint control at their state border. This was the result of a meeting between the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Moldova, Denys Shmyhal and Dorin Rechan, which took place in Kyiv. This was reported by the Ukrainian National News Agency (UNN), citing the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The meeting also discussed logistics issues in the context of Russia's blocking of the grain corridor in the Black Sea. The accelerated construction of the bridge across the Dniester River, the development of checkpoints and rail links were recognised as important steps for both countries.
Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, stressed the importance of resolving these issues quickly. He noted that this is crucial for both countries, especially in the context of the situation with restrictions on the transport of agricultural products across the Black Sea.
In addition, the two sides discussed the possibility of deepening cooperation on European integration. This will be an important step in the common aspiration for European integration and cooperation in this direction.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Moldova for its support since the first days of the full-scale war and expressed hope that the visit of the Moldovan delegation would contribute to the further development of bilateral relations and productive dialogue between the countries.
