A new industrial park called Universal Industry is about to open its doors in Rokytne village, Bila Tserkva district, Kyiv region. This important event took place on February 2, when the park was added to the register of industrial parks at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy.
The project envisages the creation of about 650 new jobs in the manufacturing sector on an area of 13.3 hectares. The investors intend to start manufacturing a variety of products, including building metal structures, finished metal products, machinery and equipment, and food products.
The park is also planned to carry out scientific and technical activities and work in the field of information technology and telecommunications. This will give an additional impetus to the development of innovations and modern technologies in the region.
The total investment in the development of Universal Industry over the next three years is estimated at UAH 735 million, which promises to create a sustainable economic base for the region and contribute to its development.
This park became the second facility to be included in the register of industrial parks in 2024 and the 75th in the list in total. The first park to receive this award in 2024 was BF Terminal in Berehove district, Zakarpattia region.
The final stage of the important reform in the field of industrial parks is to remove inefficient parks from the register. According to Dmytro Kysylevsky, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Development, industrial parks registered between 2013 and 2019 may be excluded if they do not meet the requirements and are not actively operating. Thus, only those parks that operate in accordance with the law and submit reports can count on state support in the amount of UAH 1 billion.
