DTEK, one of the largest energy holdings in Ukraine, is actively preparing for the second stage of construction of the Tiligul wind farm located in Mykolaiv region, 100 kilometers from the frontline. This was reported by the company's press service.
The first stage of the Tiligul wind farm was launched in May 2023 with a capacity of 114 MW. According to the expansion plans, after the completion of the second stage, the total capacity of the station will increase to 500 MW. This makes it the largest wind farm in Eastern Europe, which will significantly reduce carbon emissions by 400 thousand tons annually, according to DTEK, starting in 2023.
In 2023, the construction cost of the second phase was estimated at $450 million. The company is now actively preparing for the expansion of the plant, which will be an important step in ensuring the sustainability of Ukraine's energy market and reducing dependence on imported energy sources.
The construction of such a significant energy facility located in a strategically important location is an important step towards ensuring the energy security of the region. The expansion of Tiligul Wind Farm demonstrates not only the company's strategic plans but also its responsibility to meet the environmental and energy challenges of our time.
The completion of the second phase of the Tiligul wind farm will contribute to the overall improvement of Ukraine's energy efficiency and help reduce the environmental impact of energy production.
