During the full-scale invasion of Russia in the occupied territories of Ukraine, more than 1,700 tons of Ukrainian agricultural products were stolen, which became part of the strategy to destroy the country's agricultural infrastructure. This was stated by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Dmytro Verbytskyi during the Ukrainian grain conference, emphasizing the serious amount of damage caused to Ukrainian agriculture.

According to Verbytskyi, Russia continues to actively destroy agricultural facilities and losses of Ukrainian grain products are estimated at billions of dollars. Ukrainian prosecutors have opened criminal cases and have already turned to international law enforcement agencies to track down and return the stolen products, as well as bring the guilty parties to justice.

"Our investigators have already issued arrest warrants for more than 20 vessels, sent requests for international legal assistance, and sent 20 indictments to court. However, the investigation is complicated by the fact that Russia hides the origin of the stolen agricultural products, and the relevant documents and witnesses are located in the occupied territories or in Russia itself," Verbytskyi explained.

The initiative to restore law and order in the agricultural sector of Ukraine continues to strengthen in the conditions of military aggression and hybrid war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Despite the complexity of the situation, Ukrainian law enforcement officers are actively working to restore justice and compensate for the damage caused to the national economy.

In response to Russia's aggression, Ukraine continues to mobilize international support and attract resources to protect its territorial and economic interests, particularly in the fields of agriculture and energy.
