In May of this year, Ukrainians actively purchased motorcycles, totaling 7.4 thousand units, which is 5.7% less than in the same period last year, but 5.8% more than in April 2024. These data are provided by the Institute of Car Market Research.
According to statistics, more than half of the motorcycles that entered the Ukrainian market in May were new - 48.7% or 3,622 units imported from abroad. The rest consists of 42.8% (3,183 units) of domestic production and only 8.5% (635 units) that have already been used.
The average age category of motorcycles on the Ukrainian market is 11.3 years for domestic orders and 12.9 years for imported motorcycles.
Such well-known brands as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Geon and Lifan are leading the market. The most popular models in May were Lifan LF, Loncin LX and Shineray XY.
According to the study, Japanese brands Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki, as well as China's Geon and Lifan, together account for 45.3% of the domestic motorcycle market.
The most active deals were concluded for the purchase of Lifan LF (161 units), Loncin LX (111 units) and Shineray XY series motorcycles (107 units), which indicates their popularity among consumers in Ukraine.
Thus, the motorcycle market in Ukraine continues to show stable consumer interest in various models, both new and used, well-known brands.
