According to the OLX Ukraine platform, the demand for air-conditioning equipment has grown significantly over the past two years. Air conditioners remain the most popular, with 14,736 ads for sale as of June, and 64,715 reviews. The average price of a new air conditioner is over 10,000 hryvnias, and a used one is 7,857 hryvnias. Interestingly, over the past year, the prices of new air conditioners have increased by only 3%, while the cost of used ones has risen by 11%.

Fans, although less popular, are also showing an increase in price. As of June 2024, there are 9,858 ads for their sale on the OLX platform, which have collected 21,304 reviews. The average cost of new ventilators is 1,680 hryvnias, and used ones are 1,370 hryvnias. Over the year, prices for new fans have risen by 31%, and for used fans by 17%.

Humidifiers and air purifiers are gaining in popularity, especially in cities with polluted air. In the first months of this year, 12,924 ads for sale of humidifiers were posted on OLX, which received more than 23,000 reviews. The average cost of a new humidifier is 1,250 hryvnias, and a used one is 770 hryvnias. Over the past year, prices for new humidifiers have increased by 13%, and for used ones - by 4%.

Air purifiers are less popular among Ukrainians. As of June 2024, the number of ads for their sale on OLX exceeds 2,500, and the number of reviews is 5,188. The average price of a new air purifier is 4,600 hryvnias, and a used one is 3,900 hryvnias. Over the year, prices for new cleaners increased by 4.5%, and for used ones - by 10%.

OLX Ukraine analysts predict further growth in demand for air-conditioning equipment, despite the difficult situation with energy in the country. Air conditioners and humidifiers are becoming indispensable for many households, providing comfortable living conditions. In addition, air conditioners are often used to heat rooms, which increases their functional value.

Thus, the demand for energy-efficient air-conditioning equipment in Ukraine continues to grow, which contributes to increasing its cost. Consumers are increasingly investing in more expensive, but economically beneficial in the long term, devices that provide comfort and reduce energy costs.
