Agrarians of six regions of Ukraine have actively started harvesting early grain and leguminous crops. Harvesting is already underway in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
At the moment, the total volume of threshed grain of the new crop is 48.3 thousand tons. In particular, 1.1 thousand tons of wheat with a yield of 22.0 tons/ha, 39.9 thousand tons of barley with a yield of 29.8 tons/ha, and 7.3 thousand tons of peas with a yield of 22.0 tons/ha were collected.
According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the farmers of the Vinnytsia region demonstrate the highest productivity indicators, collecting 30.5 quintals per hectare. This region has set a new standard of efficiency for the entire country.
At the same time, the Odesa region is the leader in the volume of threshing of cultivated areas. Here, farmers have already threshed 11.8 thousand hectares, which is the largest indicator among all regions that have started harvesting. This indicates a high level of organization and technical support of local agricultural producers.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food also said that other regions of the country are preparing to join the harvest in the coming weeks. It is expected that the total volume of harvested crops will increase significantly, taking into account the favorable weather conditions and the high level of training of farmers.
We would like to remind you that last year was difficult for Ukrainian agriculture due to difficult weather conditions and economic challenges. However, this year, farmers are showing good results, which gives hope for an improvement in the situation in the agricultural sector.
Thus, the harvest started in six regions is an important stage for ensuring the country's food security and supporting the economy. The effective work of farmers and their achievements in productivity are an example for all regions of Ukraine.
