The open land market in Ukraine has demonstrated significant activity over the three years of its operation. According to Opendatabot data, more than 254,000 agricultural land purchase and sale agreements were concluded, with a total area of 567,322 hectares. The average cost of one hectare reached 41 thousand hryvnias.
The most active year of sales was 2023, when 179,921 hectares of land were sold. Poltava Oblast became the leader in terms of the amount of land sold, where 60,360 hectares were sold in three years.
The Dnipropetrovsk region took second place, realizing 58,869 hectares of land. Kharkiv region took third place with a result of 54,458 hectares.
Opendatabot notes that the high activity on the land market indicates the interest of farmers in the legalization of their lands and the introduction of modern farming methods. An important role in this is played by the economic and investment prospects opened up by the land market.
Experts emphasize that the average land price of 41,000 hryvnias per hectare is an indicator of stable supply and demand on the market. This shows that Ukrainian farmers are ready to invest in the development of their farms, counting on a long-term perspective.
Analysts believe that the success of the land market also contributes to the development of the regional economy, attracting new investments and creating jobs. The growing demand for land plots is pushing for the modernization of the agricultural sector and increasing its efficiency.
Thus, the land market in Ukraine continues to develop, demonstrating significant potential for economic growth and sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
