In Ukraine, the production of elements of localizing safety systems for domestic nuclear power plants (NPPs) has started on the basis of JSC NAEK Energoatom branch - VP Atomenergomash. This important step is aimed at ensuring the safety and stable operation of Ukrainian nuclear facilities, which are part of a broader program of the country's energy independence.

As the press service of "Energoatom" reports, the new production became part of the import substitution strategy, which the company is actively implementing. The main goal is to gradually replace the equipment and spare parts, which were previously supplied from Russia, with products of our own production. This not only strengthens the technological independence of Ukraine, but also contributes to the development of national industry.

The production of the first element of the localizing safety system, which will soon be used at one of the Ukrainian nuclear power plants, is already underway on the basis of VP "Atomenergomash". The performance of this work demonstrates the high level of technical training of Ukrainian specialists and the country's ability to independently provide critical components for the nuclear industry.

The production of such elements is a key step towards strengthening national energy security. The replacement of Russian equipment will avoid dependence on external suppliers and ensure the stable operation of Ukrainian nuclear power plants even in difficult geopolitical conditions.

In addition, after satisfying the needs of domestic nuclear power plants, the company plans to export these systems for units of the type VVER-1000, which are used at European nuclear power plants. This opens up new opportunities for Ukraine in the international market of nuclear technologies and increases the competitiveness of the domestic industry.

The launch of this production demonstrates Ukraine's desire for energy independence and innovation, and also emphasizes the important role of "Energoatom" in ensuring the reliable operation of the country's nuclear facilities and their safety at the international level.
