Since the beginning of 2025, through the government grant program "eWork", aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses, 17 agricultural enterprises have received 92.7 million hryvnias for the development of horticulture, berry growing, viticulture and greenhouse farming. Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval announced this on March 7.

This year, 64.7 million hryvnias were allocated for the development of gardens, which 13 production facilities received, while 4 enterprises received 28 million hryvnias for the development of greenhouses. In total, since the start of the "eWork" program in July 2022 to date, more than 1.27 billion hryvnias in grant assistance have been allocated to 268 agricultural producers.

Particular attention was paid to the development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture, to which UAH 922 million was allocated for 201 farms, of which 185 received full funding. Greenhouse farming received UAH 352.8 million, of which 67 farms received grants in full.

The Minister recalled that the program's funding is up to 70% of the project cost and does not exceed UAH 10 million, with the mandatory condition of creating jobs for local residents. For gardens, this is from 5 to 10 permanent and 125-425 seasonal workers, depending on the type of plantations, and for greenhouses - at least 4 permanent and 10 seasonal workers per hectare.

The eWork program opens up opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in agriculture, allowing agro-entrepreneurs to create and expand businesses in the areas of "Your Own Business", "Your Garden", "Your Greenhouse", "New Level".

In August 2024, the government expanded the conditions for obtaining grants for the development of viticulture and horticulture. Financing of agricultural producers under the eWork program for 2024-2025 is carried out with the support of the World Bank within the framework of the "Emergency Project for Providing Inclusive Support for the Restoration of Ukraine's Agriculture" (ARISE).
