From April 1, 2024, the State Register of Special Permits for Subsoil Use began to operate in Ukraine, which is an important part of the process of digitalization and improvement of natural resource management. Now obtaining a special permit for subsoil use has become more transparent and user-friendly.
According to the State Geology and Subsoil Service of Ukraine, a special permit is now issued in electronic form in the form of an extract from the Register, which simplifies the entire process of obtaining a permit. All applicants can obtain the necessary documents without having to personally contact the authorities, which significantly reduces bureaucratic barriers.
The Register of Special Permits is part of the Unified State Electronic Geoinformation System for Subsoil Use. This allows you to create a single platform for collecting and processing data on the use of natural resources. An important aspect is the ability to access this system through the State Geological Portal, which provides quick and convenient access to all necessary information.
This innovation is part of the general course towards digitalization and transparency of natural resource management in Ukraine. Thanks to the system, users can quickly check information on granted permits, and authorities can effectively control the processes of extraction and use of subsoil.
The introduction of electronic permits is also aimed at reducing corruption, as the process of issuing permits becomes automated and controlled. All operations are now available for verification online, which increases the level of trust in state authorities.
The new register is expected to help improve the use of natural resources, increase the efficiency of work in the field of geology and subsoil use, and also provide greater transparency for investors and citizens. This step is important for the further development of the country in the context of sustainable use of natural resources.
