PrivatBank has announced the first loan under its cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to finance micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs in Ukraine for a total amount of EUR 240 million.
This important event took place as part of a joint initiative of PrivatBank and the EBRD aimed at supporting Ukrainian businesses. According to the agreement, PrivatBank will be able to issue loans worth EUR 240 million in equivalent.
Yevhen Zaigraev, PrivatBank's Board Member for Small and Medium Business, emphasized the importance of this initiative. The program of cooperation with the EBRD includes both a partial guarantee of loan repayment by borrowers and the possibility of providing grants to borrowers, which amounts to up to 20% of the purchase of certain types of machinery and equipment, as well as up to 30% of the amount of financing for priority investment projects.
