The Ukrainian car market continues to see a decline in the share of cars equipped with internal combustion engines (ICEs). According to Ukravtoprom, in February, cars with traditional engines accounted for 68% of the new passenger car market.
Sales of cars with internal combustion engines in February decreased by 4% compared to the same period last year, according to Ukravtoprom.
The most popular models are those with gasoline engines, which accounted for 44% of new car sales, down 7% year-on-year, Ukrautoprom said.
At the same time, the share of diesel cars increased by 3% to 24%.
There was also a significant increase in the share of electric vehicles from 11% to 17%.
On the contrary, the share of hybrid cars decreased from 16% to just over 14%.
According to Ukravtoprom, the share of cars with gas-cylinder equipment (HBO) remains less than 1%.
The following models hold leading positions in different market segments: for gasoline cars - TOYOTA RAV-4; for diesel cars - RENAULT Duster; for electric cars - VOLKSWAGEN ID.4; for hybrid cars - TOYOTA RAV-4; and for cars with LPG - RENAULT Duster.
