In February of this year, Ukrainians showed a significant interest in hybrid cars, adding more than 1,500 units to the country's fleet. According to Ukravtoprom, this is 54% more than in the same period last year. In particular, it is noted that more than half of these cars are new, which indicates the growing popularity of hybrid models among Ukrainian motorists.
Against the backdrop of a general increase in the popularity of hybrids, the market leader among new cars was the Toyota RAV-4, with sales of 118 units. This demonstrates not only consumer confidence in the quality and technologies implemented in this model, but also the perception of hybrid technologies as a promising solution for everyday use.
Toyota Camry (85 units) and Nissan Qashqai (56 units) are next in the ranking of popularity of new hybrid cars. This data reflects the diversity of choices among consumers and their focus on both brands and specific models with hybrid technology.
In the segment of used cars with a hybrid powertrain, the Ford Fusion US is the leader with 65 units. Other leaders in this segment include Toyota Prius (52 units) and Toyota RAV-4 (42 units). This indicates the prevalence of hybrid models not only in the new car market but also in the used car segment, demonstrating the stability of popularity and consumer confidence in this technology.
Demand for hybrid cars continues to grow, reflecting general trends in environmentally conscious consumption and a gradual shift to more environmentally friendly modes of transportation. The increase in the market share of hybrid cars reflects a gradual change in consumer perceptions of road transport and their willingness to use new, efficient and environmentally friendly technologies.
