In the first quarter of 2024, the state budget of Ukraine received more than UAH 650 million from small-scale privatization. This was announced by Vitaliy Koval, Chairman of the State Property Fund (SPFU), during a meeting with regional offices. As of March, the most profitable privatization targets were the Kyiv Experimental Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise and the TVK property complex in Odesa.

The property complex "TVK" in Odesa was sold for over UAH 106 million, while the Kyiv Experimental Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise was among the top sellers, with a sale of over UAH 165 million. However, it should be noted that the starting price of the latter was over UAH 31 million.

In the first quarter, the budget was also replenished with more than UAH 208 million from leases, with the area of new leased property amounting to 196 thousand square meters. Regional offices of the SPFU in Lviv, Zakarpattia, Volyn, Poltava and Sumy regions were the leaders in terms of the number of leased square meters.

Vitaliy Koval emphasized the importance of maximum synchronization of the team to achieve the ambitious plans for this year. The goal is not only to achieve the set objectives, but also to exceed them, making each object managed by the State Property Fund budget-filling.

It should be noted that the State Property Fund has predicted that the budget should receive UAH 4 billion from the sale of privatization objects in 2024. Among the top proposals were the United Mining and Chemical Company, Demurinsky Mining and Processing Plant, Centrenergo, Odesa Port Plant, Hotel Ukraine, Ocean Plaza, Indar, and Uman Distillery.

At the end of the meeting, the SPFU emphasized that the next step would be to prepare a draft decision for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers, after which the date of the auction would be determined. At the same time, as a result of recent Russian attacks, Centrenergo lost both of its assets in the government-controlled territory due to their destruction and the cessation of electricity generation.
