The oil company "Ukrnafta" announced the expansion of the limits of three special permits in the west of Ukraine, which led to an increase in projected oil reserves by more than 3 million tons. This was reported in the press service of the company.

"Ukrnafta PJSC has increased its reserves and resources by more than 3 million tons of oil and more than 600 million cubic meters of gas. This became possible thanks to the expansion of the company's existing special permits in Western Ukraine," the report says.

It is noted that the area of the first plot after expanding the borders is 0.93 square kilometers, which is 50% more than the area of the previous permit.

The total volume of reserves increased by 221 thousand tons of oil and 19 million cubic meters of gas.

The second special permit increased by 32.62% and now has an area of 8.7 square kilometers. The total volume of reserves and resources of oil and gas increased by 836 thousand tons and 402 million cubic meters, respectively.

The third special permit was expanded by 36.14%, its area is now 7.12 square kilometers. The total volume of reserves increased by more than 1.9 million tons of oil and 205 million cubic meters of gas dissolved in oil.

"The expansion of the limits of special permits is connected with bringing them to the contours of productive deposits of deposits. The corresponding orders of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine have already been received", - stressed the director of "Ukrnafta" Serhiy Koretskyi.

He also noted that until 2023, Ukrnafta expanded the limits of special permits only twice. Last year, the company increased oil and gas reserves by 330 thousand tons and 618 million cubic meters, respectively, due to the expansion of the boundaries of two fields.
