Public joint-stock company "Ukrnafta" introduced the latest technologies, installing pumps of the German company Oil Dynamics on the first 29 wells. This was an important step in modernizing equipment and increasing the efficiency of oil and gas production in Ukraine.
According to the press service of "Ukrnafta", by the end of the year it is planned to equip more than 150 wells with modern pumps that meet API international standards. These changes are part of the company's renewal strategy, which involves the replacement of outdated Russian equipment with modern global models.
In 2023, Ukrnafta signed a memorandum with The American Petroleum Institute on the implementation of new international standards in its work. This will allow the company not only to increase production efficiency, but also to ensure compliance with the best global practices in the field of oil and gas production.
Ukrainian frequency control stations work together with German pumps, the software of which has been modified to ensure compatibility. Operators and engineers of "Ukrnafta" control the equipment remotely, using special operating modes and changing the operating frequency of the installations.
The automated system of remote monitoring of wells allows you to control all the necessary parameters, such as pressure, temperature, percentage of electric motor load, currents, insulation resistance and vibration of submerged equipment. This ensures stable production at the deposits and increases the maintenance period of installations.
Serhii Koretskyi, director of PJSC "Ukrnafta", noted that electric centrifugal pumps (ECPs) help to stabilize production, ensuring nominal productivity and pressure, and also increase the maintenance period compared to other types of pumps.
Over the next three years, Ukrnafta plans to drill 160 wells, using the latest technologies and equipment of the world's leading companies. On March 22, the company announced that it had received a new special permit for the extraction of hydrocarbons, which was issued by the State Geology and Subsoil Service of Ukraine. Thanks to this permit, the company plans to significantly increase production volumes, in particular by one billion cubic meters of natural gas and one hundred thousand tons of oil.
In 2023, "Ukrnafta" launched 8 new oil wells in the western and eastern territories of Ukraine, providing a total daily output of 238 tons of oil. In total, the company produced 1.4099 million tons of oil with condensate and 1.0974 billion cubic meters of gas in 2023, which is 3% and 6% higher than in 2022, respectively.
