Sales of iPhone smartphones in China last month showed an impressive 52% growth thanks to wide-ranging discounts from retail partners, according to Bloomberg.

According to the latest data from the Chinese Academy of Information and Communication Technologies, the total volume of smartphone shipments in the country has increased, of which approximately 3.5 million units are accounted for by foreign brands, particularly the iPhone.

"The vast majority of these devices are iPhones, which was made possible by active price reduction measures by Apple and its Chinese partners. This growth comes after a period of losses recorded in the first two months of the current year," the agency notes.

The cost of the iPhone has become more affordable since the beginning of 2024 due to additional discounts that the company provides according to market conditions. Earlier, Apple experienced a double-digit decline in sales of its new phone models, which was caused by a loss of market share to Huawei Technologies Co.

According to analysts, the increase in demand for the iPhone indicates a positive reaction of consumers to reduced prices and strategic marketing moves by Apple aimed at restoring its position in the Chinese smartphone market.

In particular, analysts predict that after a successful period of promotional offers, the companies can once again increase their share in market dynamics, competing with local and other international brands in the Chinese mobile technology market.

According to the latest data, the rapid growth of iPhone sales in China is one of the key elements of Apple's strategy to restore and expand its global market presence, given the importance of the Chinese market in the overall picture of mobile technology.
