From January to September 2024, Ukrainians spent more than 93 billion hryvnias on the purchase of new cars, which is 21% more than in the same period last year. The association "Ukravtoprom" reports this, noting that a significant part of these funds was spent on the purchase of cars of five popular brands.
According to analysts, the largest expenditures were recorded on Toyota cars, on which Ukrainians spent almost 14 billion hryvnias. This brand once again confirmed its popularity among car enthusiasts in Ukraine, becoming the sales leader.
Next in the ranking are premium German brands. 12.3 billion hryvnias were spent on BMW cars, which allowed them to take second place. Mercedes-Benz took third place with expenses of 6.9 billion hryvnias. These two brands continue to be in high demand, especially among buyers looking for quality and comfort.
In fourth place was Volkswagen, which recorded expenses for new cars at the level of 6.6 billion hryvnias. This brand continues to be popular due to its diverse range of models and affordable price.
Rounding out the top five is the French manufacturer Renault, whose dealers earned over 4.7 billion hryvnias. The popularity of Renault in Ukraine is determined by favorable offers and reliable cars that meet the needs of consumers.
Consequently, the spending of Ukrainians on new cars indicates the growth of demand in the market of automotive equipment, which may be related to the improvement of the economic situation in the country. This trend, as well as changes in consumer preferences, may affect the further development of the automobile market in Ukraine.
