During the first month of operation of the Land Bank in the Prozorro.Sales system, 93 auctions were held for the sublease of state agricultural land, in which 4,695 hectares were put up for sale. This indicates the activation of the land market in Ukraine and new opportunities for farmers.
During this period, 1,303 offers were received from 283 farms and agricultural enterprises. The average participation in each auction was 14 participants, which emphasizes the interest in subleasing agricultural land. It is noted that the starting price of the sublease increased 8.4 times, and the average price per hectare was 29,600 hryvnias per year.
The winners of the auctions held in six regions of Ukraine have already concluded 19 sublease agreements with the State Land Bank LLC. They made payments in the total amount of 34.7 million hryvnias with VAT. This made it possible to bring more than 1,178.35 hectares of land out of the shadows and transfer them for long-term use to farmers for 14 years.
Vinnytsia (24), Kirovohrad (17), and Zakarpattia (14) regions are among the top three regions with the largest number of Land Bank auctions. The highest average cost per hectare of land was recorded in the Vinnytsia region, where it amounted to 36,900 hryvnias per hectare. Instead, the lowest price was in Transcarpathia — 5,176 hryvnias per hectare.
The most expensive lot for the month was a plot of land in Cherkasy region with an area of 191 hectares. 21 participants competed for it, which increased the initial bid 10 times to the winning 9 million hryvnias. The price of a hectare of this plot reached 47 thousand hryvnias, which indicates a high demand for land in this region.
At the moment, the Land Bank has announced 252 auctions in 13 regions, offering plots with a total area of 21,044 hectares. The land area varies from 2 to 3,968.9 hectares, which allows auction participants to choose the plots that best suit their needs and scale of business. This creates new opportunities for farmers and contributes to the development of agriculture in Ukraine.
