The agro-industrial complex of Ukraine experienced a noticeable financial upturn in 2024. The total revenue of the industry amounted to UAH 2.4 trillion, which is 2.6 times higher than the previous year. At the same time, profit reached UAH 327 billion - a result that significantly exceeded even the pre-war level of 2021, when the agricultural sector earned UAH 200 billion.

According to the results of a study by the VKURSI big data platform, which analyzed the financial efficiency of agricultural companies, it turned out that the central regions of Ukraine became the largest generators of income. In particular, companies registered in the central part of the country accounted for 47% of all revenues of the agricultural market. This indicates that, despite the war, it was these regions that maintained the relative stability of doing business, avoiding significant losses of the land fund.

Vinnytsia region became the real leader among the regions. It provided 12% of all revenues of the Ukrainian agricultural sector in 2024. This is the highest figure among all regions. Such success was made possible thanks to the activities of big business, in particular, agricultural enterprises registered in this region.

The researchers paid special attention to the most successful companies in the industry. Thus, the ten most profitable agricultural enterprises of Ukraine in 2024 earned over UAH 27.5 billion - this is 8.4% of the total market profit. Seven more companies exceeded the mark of UAH 1 billion in profit. Most of the sector leaders are of foreign origin: out of the 20 companies with the highest revenues, 10 have foreign founders, including nine from Cyprus and one from the United Kingdom.

The largest profits among companies in 2024 were demonstrated by enterprises that are part of the MHP agricultural holding. In particular, Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC topped the ranking with a net income of UAH 54.4 billion, which is 38% more than in the previous year. This enterprise owns 1,355 land plots with a total area of ​​almost 3 thousand hectares within the Vinnytsia region. The top five also included Myronivska Poultry Farm LLC (UAH 28.6 billion), Lebedynskyi Seed Plant LLC (UAH 19.7 billion), Enselko Agro LLC (UAH 13 billion) and Zernoproduct MHP LLC (UAH 12.6 billion).

Thus, the results of 2024 not only demonstrate the rapid recovery and growth of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, but also confirm the leading role of Vinnytsia in the national agrarian economy. Despite military risks, the industry continues to develop and create a significant share of the country's GDP.
