During November 2024, 356 auctions were held in the Prozorro.Sale system to sell assets of banks in the process of liquidation under the management of the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals (DGFI). 59 auctions were successful, bringing in a total of 42.6 million hryvnias. This was reported by the DGFI press service.
The main part of this amount, namely 33.8 million hryvnias, was received from the sale of real estate, another 6.8 million hryvnias from the sale of land plots. The remaining proceeds were from the sale of fixed assets (0.9 million hryvnias), a pool of loans to individuals (0.8 million hryvnias) and individual loans to individuals (0.3 million hryvnias).
The largest volume of sales was provided by PJSC Prominvestbank, whose assets brought in 31 million hryvnias. A significant contribution was also made by JSC Ukrbudinvestbank, with a result of UAH 9.8 million. Other banks, such as JSC Megabank, JSC Concord Joint-Stock Bank, JSC MR Bank, JSC Ibox and JSC KSG Bank, provided smaller amounts - from UAH 0.7 million to a symbolic UAH 0.004 million.
In general, at the moment, based on the results of 30 successful auctions, payments have been received and asset purchase and sale agreements have been concluded for the amount of UAH 10.5 million. Another agreement for UAH 1.6 million is awaiting signing. However, payment has not yet been received for 28 lots for the amount of UAH 30.5 million. In the event that the auction winner refuses to pay, he loses the guarantee deposit, and the right to purchase the assets passes to the next participant.
The FGVFO also reported that during November, banks received an additional UAH 0.02 million from the direct sale of assets without holding auctions.
All funds received from the sale of assets of banks in liquidation are directed to settlements with their creditors. Thus, the process of asset sales is a key tool for partial debt coverage and restoring justice for creditors of financial institutions.
